I'm thrilled to have the opportunity to combine my passions for travel and education, and to celebrate the marriage of the two, I'd like to give away a copy of Explore China to one of you. To be eligible to win, all you have to do is leave a comment on this blog post (Facebook comments won't count for the drawing), telling me your favorite Chinese food. (If you don't like Chinese food, or if you've never tried it, don't despair. You will still be eligible if you simply leave a comment.) A winner will be randomly selected on May 17, which means he or she should have a copy in hand by June 1, which is Children's Day in China. So perfect, right?!
Don't forget to leave a comment for a chance to win a free copy of Explore China |
This makes me wish I was a kid again. I love this kind of thing! I don't know if I have a favorite but I do like fried rice with orange chicken or general tsoas(sp) chicken. I still need to leave a review for the journal I won. I haven't forgotten but need to use with one of my grands first!
ReplyDeleteThe good news is that this book is good for the young and the young at heart! :) There truly isn't an age limit on learning! I do hope you will have a chance to use the journal with your grandkids soon, and I hope they enjoy it. Thanks for commenting!
DeleteThis sounds like an awesome book! I teach young kids and we explore countries on each continent. I would love to see it! I love Beef with Chinese Vegetables.
DeleteThanks for commenting, Kathy. Your work with kids sounds awesome! Definitely right up my alley!
DeleteLove reading about all your adventures! What a wonderful way to share some of the things you are learning and experiencing - a geography book.
ReplyDeleteMy favorite Chinese food is pineapple fried rice.
Thanks for your comment, Sarah, and thanks for following world-wide adventure! I also love pineapple fried rice.
DeleteHow exciting that you already have one of your books ready! My favourite Chinese food is any kind of steamed dumpling. We have a really great local place that makes them fresh everyday in a big window where you can watch. YUMMY!!!
ReplyDeleteStacy, the book has a recipe for steamed dumplings!! We ate them all the time while we were in China. Thanks for your comment and for being one of the first people to encourage me to write a book based on our travels! So glad we got to share part of our journey with you and your sweet family!
DeleteI've never tried to make them so will try using your recipe!
DeleteI also wanted to tell you that at dinner last night Sammy said, "Hey... you know our friends?" Me: "Which ones?" Sam: "You know, Weston, Max, and Clay... and what's the girl's name?" Me: "Ruth? Yes, I know those friends." Sam: "Well, they have three boys like us... Brett, me, and our doggie, Nolan!!!"
It was so cute and SO RANDOM! Your family obviously left an impression!
That's so cute! I'm glad Sam remembers us and sees a connection with our families!
DeleteSo glad you have another book. I ordered the last travel journal for kids. Regarding Chinese food, I'm rather simple... rice with shrimp.
ReplyDeleteThank you so much for your comment and for purchasing the journal. I hope you and your kids are enjoying it!
DeleteThis is AWESOME! If I win, I'm going to use it with Victoria & Slade!
ReplyDeleteI think I'd have to go with pork fried rice as my favorite Chinese food; however, I don't think I've ever had any I didn't like!
Thanks, Linda! We look forward to seeing you this summer!
