Orphans
Ruth and Jeff somehow got on the subject of orphans the other day. That was a new word for Ruth, so she asked about it and Jeff explained. Ruth voiced her concern over this with this question: "What do they do without grown-ups to get things for them?" In my mind, I picture this meaning, "Who gets the cereal off the top shelf, because I can't reach that even when I stand on my stool."
