An Innocent (?) Conversation

Here's a conversation Ruth had with my friend yesterday:

Friend: So, are you guys going to do anything fun this weekend?

Ruth (beaming): Yes!

Friend: What's that?

Ruth: We're going to go the the ranch and shoot something!!!

Ruth: ...AND WE HAVE TO WEAR OUR CAMO!

We are indeed off to the family's ranch out in West Texas for the weekend, and Ruth is determined to shoot a Thanksgiving turkey for us. "Little House On The Prairie" has her completely inspired and totally confident that such a thing is possible. In fact, as I was looking at turkeys in the grocery store the other day, she said, "Mom, you don't need to look at turkeys. I'm going to shoot us one for Thanksgiving!" As long as she dresses it too, is all I have to say! Hope you all have a great weekend. I'll let you know what "we" shoot when we get back.
