We visited the Austin Zoo today and had a really wonderful time, not counting the heat! (See yesterday's post for a rant on that topic)! The Austin Zoo is small, but it's about the right size for an almost 4-year-old. They do have lots of really neat animals, and even a petting zoo and a train. The tigers put on a spectacular show for us--frolicking in the water, sparring with each other and just generally having a good time. They were my favorite. Ruth liked the lions, which we heard roaring at one point. It was a fun day, and if summer ever ends, maybe we'll go back.
Weston looks so big! I haven't been to the zoo in a while; maybe we should take Emmy soon.
