The Heat Is On

My friend, Katie, mentioned in her blog the arrival of Spring in Grand Rapids, Michigan. Sounds lovely. In Austin, Texas, however, we have skipped Spring entirely and landed smack-dab in the middle of summer! It's hot--around 100 the last three days--and it's only April! I cringe to think what August will bring. I guess the one good thing about the heat is that the water park at Ruth's school has re-opened and Ruth got to play in the water today, which she loved.
